why run in 2025?

Politics is often embarrassing. this year, politics in Churchlands is also insulting. The voters of Churchlands are being told that they have only one choice of candidate: a sports commentator. I have nothing against Basil Zempilas, from all reports he is well-meaning and hard-working ... at least for the City of Perth. And for his employer, Seven West Media. Of course "all reports" are written and published by his employer. Whatever the truth, Basil is not the problem. The voters of Churchlands are being treated as the butt of a long-running political joke. Have you heard the one about Churchlands? The fool voters have only one interest: who will lead the State Liberal party into the next federal election? Will it be Libby or will it be Basil? Ha, ha! what a bunch of yokels! Surveys. Articles in the paper. Analysis by experts. All focus on the one topic: Libby or Basil as leader. As though the voters of Churchlands are too stupid to consider other issues. No-one asks for our...

[not] your 2025 candidate for Churchlands ... Curtin?

I am Dr Nick Lethbridge. I have lived in Churchlands for more than forty years. Our children attended Churchlands Primary then High schools before going on to study at UWA. I worked in a variety of roles -- gaining and applying experience at various levels. It was not one year repeated over and over, but a depth of experience applied to a broad range of challenging roles. Over time, my roles moved more and more to support for the people who need to understand and work ...

Ideas and Action

LCA is a political party. We are registered as a party for the next Federal Election ... whenever that will be. Ourparty has a single aim. Our members support that aim. Therefore we will act -- to support that aim. To support the party members who have given us their support. Are we afraid to be seen? No. Are we afraid to act? No. Okay. ... LCA is a small party. With little "public profile" So we start small. ... One small -- but whole-hearted -- step into "real" politics. In the next -- 2025 -- Federal election ... LCA will field a candidate. One candidate. In one electorate. A viable candidate. ... LCA will nominate a candidate in the Lower House seat of Churchlands ... in Western Australia. Yes, we will stand for a seat in the Lower House: the house of Federal Parliament where the true political power is practised. Our candidate is selected. He is willing, he is ready. Better yet ... our LCA candidate for Churchlands is a better candidate than of the political ha...
